The term sports injury, in the broadest sense, refers to the kinds of injuries that most commonly occur during sports or exercise. Some sports injuries result from trauma, others are due to poor training regimes, poor equipment or footwear, lack of health or underlying conditions or insufficient warmup and stretching.

Although virtually any part of your body can be injured during sports or exercise, the term is usually used for injuries that involve the musculoskeletal system, which includes the muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons.  Pain and inflammation may develop short term or continue to become a chronic aggravating issue affecting one's quality of life.

Combining sports injury management, manual techniques and rehabilitation programs can increase mobility and flexibility to the body allowing more freedom of movement, increasing sports performance and recovery time. These treatments manage symptoms and injury of strains, sprains, tendonitis, ligament and syndromes.

Sports Cupping 

Cupping therapy treatments have been recorded throughout history, traced back to the ancient Egyptians since 1500 BC and varying styles of use from Chinese to Islamic cultures. Cupping for sports athletes has been growing in popularity since the appearance of athletes in the Olympics in recent years, bearing the familiar purple circles that may appear post treatment. Despite the look, this is not an injury or does not cause pain, quite the opposite. The circles appear as part of the detox and cleansing of the area, relieving adhesions and knots to encourage more suppleness to soft tissue. This cleansing decreases pain and encourages more movement and flexibility to your body.
