MASSAGE OVERVIEW:

The first of 3 ITEC assignments. Understanding principles of Soft Tissue Dysfunction. Grading an injury, assessment techniques and recognising inflammation and its signs. These elements are basics to the knowledge of a Sports Massage Therapist. 

Hip and full back massage are added to your sequence to develop a full body massage sequence. Practical use of your deep tissue massage techniques helps to deepen your palpation skills.

Abdomen massage aids in digestion, stress management and certain disorders. Hone your massage skills to add to your deep tissue treatment to treat beyond and including sports and occupational injuries.

Assignment 3 to complete ITEC assignments: Professional practice in Sports Massage.  Be the most professional therapist you can be. Be able to differentiate between verbal and written consent, learn to manage underage clients and difficult client situations.

Addition of shoulder and arm massage to your massage sequence, this completes a full body massage sequence.

Final practical in house exams: Meet and greet client, assess and treat according to consultation carried out, palpation sequence and homecare program delivered to client. Pre and post event massage is part of this inhouse final exam.
